Telehealth
Telehealth Psychiatric Services for Adults in Maryland
What Is Telehealth Psychiatric Care
Telehealth simply means meeting with your provider through video instead of in person. You’ll still receive a full evaluation, ongoing follow-up care, and a treatment plan built around your needs. The main difference is where you’re sitting during the appointment.
How Virtual Appointments Work
- You'll receive a secure link before your scheduled appointment
- You'll need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera
- You must be physically located in Maryland at the time of your appointment
- Your provider will guide you through the same evaluation process used in an in-person visit
What to Expect During Your Visit
Your provider will ask about your symptoms, history, and goals, much like an in-person appointment. You’ll have time to ask questions, and your provider will explain any recommendations before your visit ends.
Privacy & Security
Every virtual appointment uses an encrypted, HIPAA-conscious platform designed to protect your personal health information. Please join your appointment from a private location where you feel comfortable speaking openly.
Is Telehealth Right for You
If you’re experiencing a mental health emergency, this is not the right option. Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
